Submenu Padding

Here is a cross-browser solution for those who might want their submenus to have a uniform width. Look at the submenus for menu items 1 and 2 below. The submenu for Menu Item 1 has a long item description and, for the sake of appearance, we wanted to make the submenu for Menu Item 2 approximately the same width.

The width of the first submenu for Menu Item 2 was increased by using HTML instead of text and adding non-breaking spaces ( ) after the item description:
